(FRC)
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school robotics event organized by the non-profit organization “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” (FIRST). Launched in 1992 by inventor Dean Kamen, the competition challenges teams of students and their mentors to design, build, and program a robot within a six-week timeframe to compete in a series of game-themed challenges. These annual events promote teamwork, engineering skills, and innovation while emphasizing the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. Beyond the technical aspects, FIRST encourages values such as cooperation, leadership, and community engagement, preparing young participants for future careers and community leadership.
