Ctrl-Alt-Defeat

Ctrl-Alt-Defeat, we are elite,
9470’s here to bring the heat!

Welcome to the thrilling realm of Ctrl-Alt-Defeat, one of the newest additions to the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) community! We are an enthusiastic collective of students, mentors, and supporters committed to igniting inspiration in the next generation of innovators, engineers, and leaders. Although our journey is just beginning, our aspirations are unlimited, and our resolve is unyielding.

Our Mission

“To establish a community of competitive yet collaborative growth, fostering and honing in on STEM skills such as designing, building, and programming via exposing high school perspectives to real-world experiences outside of a classroom.”

Ctrl-Alt-Defeat is a rookie FIRST Robotics Team team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The next calendar year, 2024, will be our first year competing in FRC. In just 6 weeks, we must design, build, wire, and program a robot from scratch.

At Team Ctrl-Alt-Defeat, we aim to cultivate a culture of inquisitiveness, collaboration, and creativity. We firmly believe that by offering students hands-on experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), we equip them to fully realize their potential and emerge as the trailblazers and leaders of tomorrow.

We are Ctrl-Alt-Defeat and we will redefine robotics, one bolt at a time!

Support Us

One important aspect of FRC is fundraising and business. As registration for the contest and two competitions is $9,000 alone each year, the price for FRC is not a small figure. Our team also requires funds for parts and tools to build our robot and to train our members, altogether achieving our goals.

Funding is crucial to success, especially for high-stakes competitions like FRC. FRC is an exhilarating experience for students, fostering creativity, teamwork, and building problem-solving skills.

However, it also demands substantial resources. Currently, we operate on a year-to-year budget of around $20,000. While we are grateful for the support we receive from our school and parents, and proud of our fundraising team for getting us this far, this budget is still comparatively small to the tens of thousands other teams raise. Our budget places limitations on our potential to learn and grow as a team. If you were to help us, you would enable the futures of many young and brilliant minds, receive a place for your company and logo on our team (such as in shirts and on robots), and we would be ever grateful to you!
